SLCPK T-Shirts!

Written by deCon, March 29th, 2008

I am having a friend that is breaking into the clothing industry (he has some sick ideas and artistry) design some shirts using our name. He will be designing the T-shirt according to our specifications, so if you have a specific photo you like, or placement/design idea, please post it here.

This is very preliminary, so please contribute all the ideas you have. Hopefully we can get them out of the presses by the end of May. My goal is to give his company an opportunity to start their line, as well as gain a SLCPK sponsor, and take care of our long lost T-shirt goal.

I trust he will make something amazing, but we’re looking to YOU for the best ideas, after all …You make the community what it is.

Thanks again everyone!

5.10 Freerunner: ARRIVED!!!

Written by deCon, February 24th, 2008

Yes everyone, the time is here. Finally, after much anticipation and confusion, the shoes have arrived, and all but one pair have made it (go_faster’s 10’s — Shipped on Friday after I emailed them the mistake).

You can pick up your shoes whenever, I have them at my home. If you’d like to stop by, give me a call or shoot me a private message. If not, call me and we’ll see if I can’t bring them more towards your direction while I’m doing errands.

Thanks for making this a successful first group buy guys! Hopefully we can reproduce this action by getting some shirts made soon ;).

January 19th media, and website issues

Written by Manic Velocity, January 20th, 2008

If you can read this, you’re probably not using Internet Explorer. For some reason, IE can’t read simple CSS code that every other browser available for download can. I’m looking into a workaround for this, but it’s going to take some time. I apologize for any inconvenience.

On the lighter side of things, photos and video of the January 19th gym jam have been posted here, and here.

EDIT: On the even lighter side of things, I think I’ve fixed the IE issue!

Head over to the videos page to check out two new entries from Saturday’s Pinnacle outting. Y’know, for those of you that like that sort of thing. I’m not one to judge.

A year later

Written by Manic Velocity, January 5th, 2008

About a year ago, I took a leave from parkour to focus on another project. Early this morning, I took the dive back in. The one thing I learned is that you should not dive back into parkour after having been away for a year. I’ve decided to just sleep in my computer chair tonight, because I can’t bring my legs to support my weight in order to climb into bed.

But it was a great time. I regret being away for so long. It was great to meet some of the new people, as well as to see some old faces. My new year resolution to attend more jams officially started today, and I plan to keep at it.

It was also very interesting returning to “noob” status. Parkour is not like riding a bike, and despite being with SLCPK since it began I suddenly realized what all the newcomers felt like at their first jam. So many unfamiliar faces, and watching everybody perform some crazy techniques. It was a humbling experience.

Introducing Team StreetStunts

Written by Manic Velocity, July 1st, 2007

Actually, this introduction is a bit late due to my extreme laziness. Team StreetStunts started off as a side project, headed by ddog, to organize a group of local traceurs interested in focusing strongly on tricking and stunt work.

EDIT: The team’s website is experiencing some temporary down-time at the moment.  We apologize for the inconvenience.
