Where: Utah Pinnacle Gymnastics (12379 South 265 West - Units E & F, Draper, UT 84020)
What to bring: Comfortable, loose fitting clothes (preferably sweat pants and a t-shirt). A bottle of water. A good attitude and willingness to learn.
Utah Pinnacle Gymnastics is an awesome facility that offers uninstructed use of their equipment every Saturday from 10AM to noon. It’s pretty much everything we could ask for when we want to train without risking serious injury. They offer equipment to practice all kinds of vaults, precision jumps, flips, rolls, tumbling, arm and leg strength, etc.
The cost is $10.00 per person. This is Pinnacle’s fee, not ours. If you are under the age of 18, you will need to have a parent or legal guardian sign a form waiving Pinnacle of any responsibility if you sustain injury.
Please maintain the mindset that this is a privilege. As with every privilege, it can be taken away at any time, so be respectful. This isn’t a chance to show off, or treat the facility like a playground. We can have fun, but anyone seen abusing the equipment or causing a scene will be asked to leave.
There will most likely be other people there as well, so keep that in mind. The local high school cheerleading team practices there all morning, so we need to be respectful of their space. The gym also offers gymnastics classes for children on Saturdays. Basically, if you are asked to stay out of a certain area or move off a peice of equipment, honor that request.
Most importantly: have fun! We’re all here to learn, so don’t be afraid to ask for help.
